Mentoring & Coaching

At Spertus Institute, we recognize that every student is unique, with their own goals, talents, obstacles, and dreams for the future.
That’s why personalized one-on-one mentoring or coaching experiences are integrated into all Spertus degree and certificate programs.
Mentoring & Coaching at Spertus Institute
- Students are individually matched with an accomplished mentor or coach based on their personal goals.
- These valuable experiences help students apply what they learn to their own real-life circumstances.
- Process bridges theory and application, supporting a foundational value of your Spertus experience.
Mentoring
Mentoring has been a cornerstone of Spertus Institute’s MA in Jewish Professional Studies program for more than a decade. The program provides students’ the opportunity to work with real-world leaders who share a deep commitment to the Jewish communal field. At the program’s core are the ideals of reflection and shared exploration. For MA in Jewish Professional Studies students, the mentoring process takes place during the second year of the program. It helps students assimilate what they learn in the classroom and put it into practice in the field.
Professional Coaching
Spertus Institute offers professional coaching as an integrated part of our Executive MA in Jewish Professional Studies and Leadership Certificate programs. For many students, this is their first experience working with a professional coach. With their coach, students build upon their skills, reflect on their goals, and grow their understanding of themselves as leaders.
