Dr. Judah Cohen
Judah Cohen is an Associate Professor of Musicology, Associate Professor of Jewish Studies, and the Lou and Sybil Mervis Professor in the Study of Jewish Culture at the Robert A. and Sandra S. Borns Jewish Studies Program at Indiana University.
Trained as a musicologist and an anthropologist, he has explored many aspects of Jewish cultural history and its relationship to Jewish identity. He views Jewish cultural expression as dynamic and ever-changing, created and recreated over time by artists, religious leaders, philosophers, and activists.
He has been recognized with the Greater Hudson Heritage Network 2011 Award for Excellence and Indiana University's Trustees Teaching Award.
